The time spent in the session is your time, and it is our goal to ensure you that we develop the best means of support for you. Working with an integrated approach to therapy, Eric integrates a variety of philosophies and techniques into his practice. Eric works with many therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and relational therapy.
He views the therapeutic relationship as the vessel that is created by the client and the therapist. While creating this you and Eric are collaboratively forming the new space. This is a supportive and nonjudgmental space where your emotional exploration is encouraged. It is in this space where you identify and shape yourself into the person you desire to be. This is an ongoing process that requires humility, revisiting and maintenance.
Eric believes that at the heart of therapy, there are simply two individuals talking to one another. His goal is to provide support as you navigate the obstacles of life. Eric is committed to the idea that no one needs to be fixed because no one is broken.
By creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space for clients to address emotional challenges, identify and reshape negative thought/behavioral patterns, patients are able to address areas of concern while working to build healthier, more joyful lives! He believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to cultivate self-understanding, healing, and growth.
